Note to self: Blog about applying Service Broker

Merely a note to myself to do a braindump on all this Service Broker shiznit I have been playing with late.

Possible discussion topics:

  • MessageTypes, Contracts, Queues, and Services.
  • Interior Activation, Routing, & Outside Activation
  • Employing the Sql Server ServiceBroker sample library.
  • Implementation applying SqlClr vs. TSQL
  • Developing via messages rather of procedures…
  • Equate & contrast Service Broker vs. Workflow Foundation vs. BizTalk
  • The nifty Sql Service Broker Admin tool (3rd-party)
  • Hard-nosed examples:
  • Async “fire-and-draw a blank” laid in procedure invocation
  • Query Notification for cache invalidation
  • PubSub
