.NET Framework Client Profile
As I refered a few days ago , with.NET Framework 3.5 SP1 Beta we are accepting some MAJOR steps toward creating it easier for customers to get the.NET Framework. One of the ways we have made out that is making a client profile of the.NET Framework that lets in merely those parts of the framework that are relevant to client developers.
Several customers have required me of late just what is in this subset. Well the well news is it is a very big subset of what you need in a client application. We profiled tons of client apps to be certain we caught the correct set. But we’d too be intimate your feedback. Justin Van Patten has of late blogged out the prescribed list of what is in this profile. This admits WPF, WCF, WinForms, System.Data, etc… Please tick it out and present us your feedback.
Customers have too asked about the details of the development experience. How do you target this profile? How is it deployed? How does it work on unlike versions of Windows? etc. Troy Martez has fared a outstanding post that walks through all the details on pointing the.NET Framework Client Profile. We’d enjoy your feedback on this as easily!
Love!!
